Aspirant de Beychevelle was created recently by Château Beychevelle, 4th Classified Growth from Saint-Julien, in collaboration with Castel Grands Crus. Clearly, the idea was to make a fruit-forward wine that can be enjoyed young, but also to reveal the elegance of the great Saint Julien terroir.

 

That’s what we were looking for with Aspirant, and the nose reveals luxurious black fruit aromas, and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is immediately silky and ready to drink, with a long finish that means that it will stand up well to a few years of aging in the bottle.
